Not only are they convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule, but they’re an opportunity for you to experience the beautiful waters in and around Victoria while giving you a great introduction to the lifelong sport of kayaking. Our day tours comprise the following:

Victoria Harbour Tour

(2.5 hours) The perfect combination: A historic city and a great way to see it!

If you’re looking for the best view of Victoria’s picturesque harbour waterways, all you have to do is get in a kayak! On this relaxing tour, you’ll get a chance to see the local cityscape and the historic harbour and gorge waterways from a perspective that few get to experience. It won’t take you long to understand why this charming capital city has become one of the world’s favourite destinations.

2010 Dates: May 15 through September 15 (or by request at other times of the year)

Time: Tuesdays, Fridays & Sundays 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm or Wednesdays & Saturdays 9:30 - 12:00 pm

Location: Ocean River Sports in Victoria, BC

Cost: $65 (children under 12 – 1/2 price) Kayak & Paddling Gear Rental: Included

Ages: 16 and up; children aged 10–15 yrs when accompanied by an adult; children aged 3–9 yrs when accompanied by a parent or guardian

(2.5 hours) Watch Victoria transform right before your eyes!

Brilliant pinks, stunning blues, dazzling yellows…Victoria’s sunsets are legendary, but they’re even more spectacular from a kayak! As you traverse the inner harbour, upper harbour and the historic Gorge Waterway, you’ll be able to see the city turn from day into night. While you’re on the water, keep an eye out for unique birds and marine wildlife – this area is constantly full of surprises!

Time: Fridays, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Location: Ocean River Sports, Victoria, BC

Sunset Tour Itinerary

Explore! Kayak Tour

(5.5 hours) Scenic coastlines and surprising sea life!

On this interpretive tour, we leave the protected harbour for the wide open vistas of beautiful Juan de Fuca Strait. We’ll explore the nooks and crannies of this scenic ocean coastline and check out the marine life on the nearby islets. Of course, you’ll be surrounded by nature, so keep watch for seals, sea stars and eagles. Bring a lunch, a water bottle and sport sandals.
